Organizers, volunteers and thousands of area residents have called the return of the Romulus Pumpkin Festival a success. The three-day festival, which was not held in 2010 due to city budget problems, returned this year under the direction of the Downtown Development Authority and with assistance from the Pumpkin Festival Committee and hundreds of volunteers. "We were happy to pick up where the city left off" said DDA Director Maria Lambert. "This is a wonderful event with a long tradition in Romulus, It took months of planning without any real budget.
