The Department of Assessment is responsible for estimating the market value of your property for tax purposes. This is accomplished through discovering, identifying, and classifying all taxable property in the city.
The Finance Department provides comprehensive financial services to the City government, recommending financial policies to the Mayor and administration, maintains all of the City's financial transactions and statements in compliance with the requirements of the Government Accounting Standards Board and provides support to City departments with financial, budgetary and procurement issues.
The Purchasing Director oversees purchasing processes, issues purchase orders, processes requests for bid/proposal documents, bid tabulations, vendor applications and makes recommendations to the Administration regarding purchasing policies and the award of bids.
