Romulus Arts Council Commission

The Romulus Arts Council was a project of Mayor Beverly McAnally in the early part of 1984. Sharon Henry was appointed Chairperson by the Mayor. She recruited volunteers to form a committee to establish the Romulus Arts Council. On November 19, 1984 the Romulus Arts Council was officially founded as a Commission of the City by the Mayor and City Council. Seven people were to serve in the official capacity as Commission members; Lisette Cadaret, Gloria Chandler, Kris DeTroyer, Pat Ditsch, Sharon Henry, Alice Kesner and Anna Moore. These members became the Executive Committee and were responsible for the Administration and the establishment of the By-Laws.

The Romulus Arts Council Commission was commissioned by the Mayor and Council of the City of Romulus in 1984, for the purpose of promoting the culture of the arts among and including the entire population within the City of Romulus.
