Overview

The Romulus DDA is responsible for many of the fun events that happen in Romulus. Their goal is to offer free and fun events to help encourage community engagement. Every year, the DDA creates new events and brings back old favorites. Check out this page to keep up with all Romulus DDA-sponsored events, or check out our social media for instant updates.

Downtown Scarecrow Contest

The Downtown Scarecrow Contest began in 2015 and continues to grow every year! Residents, organizations, businesses, and anyone interested are able to enter a scarecrow to be placed in the downtown corridor during the month of October.

Pumpkin Festival

The annual Pumpkin Festival is a three-day event that starts on the third Friday in September. It includes everything from a parade, music, crafts, car show, good food, and games for all ages. This festival takes place all along the downtown Romulus area.

Sounds in Downtown

Sounds in Downtown is a free musical event that takes place every 2nd Friday in the summer at the Historical Park. Each event offers a different genre of music, from Rock 'n' Roll, Motown, Country, and Classic Hits. Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket and come jam with us this summer.
