Overview
As set forth in the Romulus City Charter, Section 4.1, the elective officers of the City are (a) a Mayor, (b) a City Clerk, (c) a Treasurer, and (d) seven (7) Councilmembers who shall be elected from the City at-large.
Requirements for Candidates:
- Must be a registered voter in the City of Romulus and a resident of the City for at least one year prior to the filing of nominating petitions
- Must have sworn to and completed the Affidavit of Identity.
- Completed a Statement of Candidacy
- Turn in nominating petitions containing at least 100 signatures and no more than 200 signatures from registered Romulus voters in accordance with the Romulus City Charter.
- In addition to the above requirements, you must comply with Michigan Campaign Finance reporting requirements through the Wayne County Clerk’s Office.

Local/City Elections will be held in 2025.
