I-275 Construction

Construction Clipart

“MDOT has placed the City of Romulus on notice of a 24 mile Reconstruction of I-275 spanning from Will Carleton Road in Ash Township up to 6 Mile Road in Livonia. Construction will take place in six phases over four years.  Municipalities affect by the construction are Canton Township, Huron Township, Plymouth, Romulus, and Van Buren Township.  The first year of construction will begin July 2021 and will repair concrete and replace culverts.  There are a number of stages of construction where ramps to Eureka, Ecorse & I-94 will be impacted, however these will be shorter in duration and only last 2-3 months.  This 24 mile stretch of freeway includes 65 bridges that cross over the road to receive some sort of rehabilitation. A total of six interchanges will also get asphalt and concrete resurfacing.  The I-275 construction has its own website where people can learn more. It's called www.Revive275.org. In addition, residents seeking further information about this project can contact MDOT directly at the phone number 248-275-8375.”
